Code of Conduct
For 14 years, the re:publica has stood for diversity in an open society. Of course, this also applies to the re:publica in digital exile. It goes without saying for us that no one should be disadvantaged because of age, gender, appearance, sexual orientation, physical or mental impairments, skin colour, origin or religion. Please support us in ensuring that this openness in all its facets is also reflected in the digital discussions. Respect others like yourselves and contribute to a positive atmosphere in the discussions for all—in your comments and posts on blogs, websites, in the Twitter sphere and other networks as well as in our digital discussion rooms.
We practise a level-headed, moderate approach with others and we would like you to do the same. The re:publica stands for coming together in a relaxed atmosphere. Therefore please behave responsibly on all platforms and de-escalate before a conflict arises. We do not tolerate any hatred, defamation, intimidation, threats, patronising comments or any such actions and will take decisive action against them!
Please help to make everyone feel safe in our digital discussion rooms and do not hesitate to contact the re:publica team and our discussion hosts and moderators if you need help or support. We will reprimand any disruptive persons and in extreme cases reserve the right to expel or block participants from our digital discussion rooms. If someone feels wrongly accused or faced with hostility about something, we would also like for them to contact us and we will try to clarify the matter and resolve the issue together.
Got questions? More on this and other information can be found in our FAQ. For anything else, feel free to contact us via helpdesk at re-publica.com.
